An initiative originating in Japan for dormouse and biodiversity

Animal-pathway and Shusaku Minato, the Representative Director of  DWI (Dormouse & Wildlife Institute) were introduced on the SNS “JAPAN GOV”, which is operated by the Cabinet Office to promote Japan’s attractiveness, culture, and technological capabilities. Animal-pathway was introduced to the world as a unique initiative from Japan to protect forest animals whose natural habitat is cut off by roads and cars.

The dormouse is a natural monument in Japan whose “road” is a branch of the forest. They cross the branches looking for food, beds and mates. Without branches, trees and forests, they can’t live. Animal-pathway is an SDG way to support the division. Shusaku Minato, the Representative Director of  DWI https://demo.yamane-ikimono.org/en
